Budapest has become one of Central Europe's busiest China rail destinations. Its BILK intermodal terminal sits at the geographic centre of the region, making it the natural distribution point for cargo bound to the manufacturing belts of Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia.
A weekly LCL consolidation from Xi'an (Saturday departure) serves Budapest directly, and FCL trains arrive from the main Chinese terminals. For Balkan destinations outside the EU — such as Serbia — Budapest is the last EU hub before the T1 transit leg south.

Budapest's BILK intermodal terminal lies southeast of the city centre, at the geographic heart of Central Europe. China–Europe trains arrive via Małaszewicze and continue south through Slovakia; from BILK, road feeders cover Hungary and its southern and eastern neighbours.
